In keeping our programs small we are able to focus on each student’s progress throughout the program.

No lectures, all higher-order thinking using an active-classroom learning style. 

Our days are divided into three main components:

1. Pharmacology and Microbiology Drills. 
2. ★System Based Supplemental Instruction® (SBSI) replaces the traditional lecture style of reviewing the Basic Sciences. Here students analyze and explore complex and fundamental high- yield topics. During this time we review the Systems, Biochemistry, Immunology, Pathology, Physiology, Biostats, and other high yield topics. 
3. Question Group: during these sessions we teach students how to identify the different variables that are tested when answering board-style questions. These variables include but are not limited to: knowledge integration, critical thinking, and comprehension.  

★System Based Supplemental Instruction® (SBSI)

Supplemental Instruction has proven results in:

• enabling students to increase long-term retention
• develop strategies for understanding and comprehending the material
• develop strategies for grasping more challenging areas of study
• allows the student, together with the SI Instructor, to pinpoint areas where the student still needs assistance in understanding the material
• enables students to master course content while they develop and integrate effective learning and study strategies

To accomplish the full benefit of our program students are required to attend all sessions and complete homework daily.
