Wellness Program
All our programs in Kansas City incorporate stress management classes which are held every Sunday.
The ability to manage your emotions and remain calm under pressure has a direct link to your performance. In a research study with more than a million people, the results showed that 90% of top performers are skilled at managing their emotions.
Researchers at Yale University found that stress actually:
- reduces the volume of grey matter in the areas of the brain associated with self-control
- makes it more challenging to deal with future stress
- affects physiological functions in the brain, contributing to chronic diseases, and
- prolonged stress causes degeneration in the area of the brain responsible for self-control

Furthermore we also know that anxiety, as it relates to USMLE and COMLEX, plays havoc on students’ emotional and mental wellbeing which in turn effects their motivation, drive, sleep, concentration, and productivity.
During our Stress Management Transformation classes you will learn tools that are scientifically proven to help manage your stress. In class, we practice stress management techniques that will still your mind and relax your body. The techniques: breathing, meditation, and mindfulness amongst others, help to create clarity and focus in your studies, and show results in higher test scores. “Researchers at Yale found that meditators’ minds were more focused throughout the day—not just when they were meditating—and that these individuals experienced far fewer of the distracting thoughts that kill concentration… Practicing mindfulness actually trains your brain to maintain this focus all the time. As you gain control of your attention, your default mode becomes one of focus and calm,” Nicole Wolfe. Yale Graduate.
Our Stress Management Transformation course is your pathway to wellness and clear thoughts for optimal concentration and mind/body balance (this is an 8 – 9 hour exam it does add stress on your body too).
